Getting started

Why is it called Creator Dividend?

Because you film once and can keep earning. When a brand runs your video as an ad, every sale it drives pays you commission, month after month, for as long as the brand runs it. Each new video is another one that can earn for you.

It's only a name: what you earn is commission on sales, not an investment, and it depends on the sales your videos drive. In the app it's shown plainly as Earnings, Commission and Statements. (We used to be called UGC Loop. Your account, brands and earnings are all the same.)

I already have an account. What happens if I press Continue with Google?

If your Google account uses the same email, you're signed in to that same account: your videos, earnings and brands are all there, and your password still works. If you haven't confirmed your email with us yet, sign in with your password or an email link first. A Google account with a different email makes a new, separate account.

What do I need to set up?

Right after you sign up we walk you through it, one screen at a time:

  1. You: a profile photo (upload one or press Use my Google photo), your name and mobile number. All three are needed: brands only see creators with a photo in Discover.
  2. Your socials: your Instagram or TikTok handle (at least one).
  3. What you make: tap at least one niche, your country (city, gender and birth year are optional) and Let brands find me in Discover. You can also open Show brands your best work to add portfolio links and a media kit, or skip it. What brands see
  4. Getting paid: PayNow, bank or PayPal. You can skip it and add it before your first payout.
  5. Where to send samples: your address. You can skip it; we ask when you request a sample.
  6. Join a brand: accept an invitation or pick brands in Find brands (skipped if you joined through a brand's link).

Leave halfway and we pick up where you stopped next time. After step 3 you can press Finish later at any point. Your Home page then shows a Finish setting up · X of 7 done card listing what's left (plus filming your first video), each with one tap to the right form. It disappears once everything's done. You can change any of it in Profile.

Where do I find things in the menu?

The menu is on the left (press Menu at the top on a phone). Creator under the logo shows you're in your creator account:

  • Home: what to film today, what you've earned, your brands and the brand's top videos
  • My videos: every video you've sent, its status and what it earned
  • Earnings: three tabs at the top of the page: Overview, Orders, and Statements & receipts
  • Messages: your chat with the brand
  • The brand's name ▾ (with its logo), for example Demo Wellness Co ▾: everything for the brand you're in now: Brief, Samples (when the brand sends them), Leaderboard & challenges, Referrals, and Switch brand if you work with more than one brand
  • Brands: two tabs. Your brands shows the brands you work with (tap one to switch), invitations to accept or decline, and applications still waiting. Find brands is where you search for new brands and apply. A number on Brands means a brand invited you.

Under the menu is the big purple + Create content button: press it any time to record with the teleprompter, upload a video or share a post link. How (On a phone it's at the top of the menu, and Home and My videos also have a round + Create button at the bottom right.)

A closed group still shows a "New" dot when the brief has changed. Profile, Help, Notifications and Sign out are at the bottom.

What's on my Home page?

Home is the first page you see, for the brand you're in (Switch brand under the welcome changes it):

  • Let's create something today: the big purple card. It shows the brand's products to film and two buttons, Record a video (the teleprompter) and Upload. If the brand asked for changes on a video, the card says so instead, with their note and Upload new version. If something has to come first, like requesting your free sample, it shows that one step.
  • Earned this month (on the right, or under it on a phone), with ▲/▼ against the same days of last month (for example 1–26 Oct against 1–26 Sep), your Total earned and what's Still to be paid. Under them: Videos posted, Running as ads and Sales this month. Tap any of them for the detail.
  • Finish setting up · X of 7: shown until everything's done. Press Continue → for the next thing, or tap the card to see the whole list.
  • One-line notes when the brand left you comments, a brand invited you, or a challenge is live.

  • Top videos: the brand's videos that drove the most sales in the last 90 days, #1 first (the same ones as in the brief). Tap one to watch it. It shows once there are at least 3.

Your earnings chart is on Earnings. Everything else has its own page in the menu: My videos, Earnings, Leaderboard & challenges, Referrals and Brands.

How much will I earn from one sale?

Open a brand in Brands → Find brands. If the brand's shop is connected, Products you'd make videos about shows each product's photo and price, and You earn ~S$X per sale under it. Tap a product to open it on the brand's shop.

That number is the brand's standard rates for one order of one item at full price:

  • the amount per sale, plus
  • the % of GMV (the sale value) times the product's price.

Example: S$5 per sale + 10% of GMV on a S$39.00 product is about S$8.90.

  • The ~ means it's an estimate. Discounts, refunds and orders with several items change what you actually earn.
  • per new-customer sale means the brand only pays for orders from people buying from them for the first time.
  • If the brand also pays a % of ad spend, or more in big months, it says so above the products. Those aren't in the number.
  • Once you join, the brand may put you on your own plan; what you earn then shows on Earnings.

How do brands find me? Can I hide my profile?

Brands looking for creators can browse Discover creators. You're in it while Let brands find me in Discover is on in your Profile (it's on to start with).

Brands see:

  • your name, photo, country and city, and your age range (like 25–34) if you gave your birth year,
  • your niches, gender and one line about you, if you added them,
  • your Instagram and TikTok handles, as links to your profiles,
  • up to 5 of your latest videos that a brand approved, plus your portfolio links and media kit if you added them,
  • how many brands you work with on Creator Dividend (never which ones),
  • your last 30 days as ranges: sales value (like S$5k+), videos sent and the share approved.

You need a profile photo to appear: add a photo to appear in Discover (Profile → Profile photo). They never see your exact earnings, your email, phone or payout details, or which brands you work with. To hide, open Profile, turn off Let brands find me in Discover and press Save. You disappear from Discover straight away; brands you already work with aren't affected.

How do I add my portfolio?

Show brands your best work, even before you've made videos on Creator Dividend:

  1. Open Profile and scroll to Portfolio.
  2. Paste up to 6 links: TikTok or Instagram posts, YouTube videos, a Google Drive folder or your website. Add a short title if you like (for example “Night routine, 1.2M views”). Press + Add another link for more rows.
  3. Optional: under Media kit or CV, choose a PDF (up to 10 MB).
  4. Press Save.

In Discover, brands see your links next to your approved videos (they fill the empty spots while you have fewer than 5) and on your profile. Your media kit is never public: only signed-in brand teams who can see you in Discover can open it. To change it, choose a new PDF; to delete it, press Remove. You can also add all this on the last required set-up step, under Show brands your best work.

  • Accept: you join the brand on that plan straight away. You land on its Home, and they send a welcome message in Messages pointing you to their brief.
  • Decline: we let the brand know. Nothing else changes.

Invitations expire after 30 days. You can turn invitation emails off in Notifications.

Filming & uploading

How do I upload a video?

Press the big purple + Create content button in the menu (on a phone: at the top of the menu, or the round + Create button at the bottom right of Home and My videos). Pick one of three:

  • 🎬 Record with teleprompter: read your script off the screen while you film. How
  • ⬆️ Upload a video: a video already on your phone or computer (the steps are below).
  • 🔗 Share a post link: a video you've already posted on TikTok or Instagram. How

You can also press Record a video or Upload on Home, or Upload a video at the top of My videos. To upload a file:

  1. Choose ⬆️ Upload a video. Keep Upload a video selected at the top of the page.
  2. Choose your file (MP4 or MOV, up to 1 GB).
  3. Pick the Product featured, write the Caption or hook and check the Aspect ratio.
  4. Press Upload and keep the page open until it says Uploaded.

If your connection drops, choose the same file again and it carries on from where it stopped.

How do I use Record (the teleprompter)?

Record lets you read your script off the screen while you film, so you don't have to learn it. The first time you open it, a short guide shows the steps. To see it again, tap ? at the top of the Record page, or open the guide.

  1. Press + Create content in the menu, then 🎬 Record with teleprompter (or Record a video on Home, Record at the top of My videos, Record with teleprompter on the Upload a video page, or Film this script in the Brief).
  2. Press Turn on camera and choose Allow when your browser asks for the camera and microphone. Blocked? Here's how to allow it.
  3. Tap the script name at the top (or Script) to pick one of the brand's scripts, a quick hook, your own, or Blank / freestyle.
  4. Tap the red button. After 3, 2, 1 the script scrolls while you film.
    • Tap the text to pause it; drag it to move back or ahead.
    • − and + change the speed, Aa the text size.
    • Flip switches camera; Mirror flips only the preview.
  5. Tap the red button again to stop. Film as many takes as you like.
  6. Open Takes, play your best one and press Send to … (the brand's name). See Sending a take.

In Settings you can change the video shape (9:16, 4:5 or 1:1; the dark edges show what's left out), the microphone, the countdown and voice-follow, and record a 5-second mic test. Nothing is uploaded until you press Send.

How do I make videos that sell more?

You earn commission on the sales your video brings in, for as long as the brand runs it as an ad. Nothing guarantees a sale, but videos that do these things usually sell better:

  • Hook them in the first 2 seconds. Start with the problem or a bold line, not "Hi guys".
  • Show the product in your hand early, close to the camera.
  • Natural light, quiet room. Face a window; turn off fans, music and the TV.
  • Film upright (9:16) and look at the lens. In Record the script sits near the top, so your eyes stay close to the camera.
  • Keep it 20 to 45 seconds. Short videos get watched to the end.
  • One clear benefit, then a call to action, like "Tap the link to try it".
  • Film a few different hooks. Same video, new first line. Brands test several ads at once, so more versions means more chances to be the one that runs. If the brand added Hooks to Record's script list, they're a good place to start.
  • Send videos regularly. Brands keep refreshing their ads, so fresh videos keep you in them.

These tips are also in Record: tap ? at the top, then Tips to earn more (or open them now). How the commission itself is worked out: How is my commission worked out?

The camera or microphone is blocked. How do I allow it?

The Record page shows the right steps for your device. In short:

  • iPhone (Safari): tap aA in the address bar → Website Settings → set Camera and Microphone to Allow, then reload. Still no? iPhone Settings → Safari → Camera and Microphone → Ask or Allow.
  • Android (Chrome): tap the icon left of the address → Permissions (or Site settings) → allow Camera and Microphone, then reload. Still no? Settings → Apps → Chrome → Permissions.
  • Laptop: click the icon left of the web address → turn Camera and Microphone on, then reload. On a Mac, also check System Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera (and Microphone). On Windows, Settings → Privacy & security → Camera.
  • Opened from Instagram, TikTok or Gmail? Those small in-app browsers can't use the camera. Tap ⋯ → Open in Safari (or Open in Chrome).
  • "The camera is busy": close FaceTime, Zoom, Teams or another tab using it, then press Try again.

How do I pick or write my own script?
  1. In Record, tap the script name at the top (or Script).
  2. Pick a brand script or a hook, or press + Write a new script.
  3. Type your lines (one idea per line reads best; lines in [brackets] are notes for you and don't scroll), pick the product and press Save and use.

  2. Press Send to … (the brand's name). Check the product, caption and shape.

My take was recorded as WebM. Is that a problem?

Safari on iPhone and recent Chrome record MP4, which is perfect. Some older browsers record WebM: the brand can still watch and approve it, but has to convert it before running it as a Meta ad. If they ask, film it again in Safari (iPhone) or Chrome and send it as a new version.

Can I submit a video I've already posted on Instagram or TikTok?
  1. Press + Create content in the menu and choose 🔗 Share a post link (or, on My videos, press Upload a video, then Use a post I've already made).
  2. Paste the link to your Instagram post or Reel, or your TikTok (in the app: Share → Copy link).
  3. Pick the product, add the caption or hook and press Submit post.

The brand reviews it like any upload. To run it as an ad they need the original file: under the post, press Attach the original file, choose it and press Attach file. If the brand asks for it, you'll see "The brand asked for the original file" there and get a message.

Your videos

Where are my videos?

Open My videos in the menu. It's a board of your videos for this brand, in five columns: In review → Changes requested → Approved → Running as ad → Ended. Each video moves along by itself as the brand reviews it and runs it; you don't need to drag anything. Changes requested is in amber because it's the one column where you need to do something.

On a phone, tap a stage at the top to see its videos (it opens on Changes requested when something is there). Each card shows what matters at that stage: when you sent it, the brand's note and Upload new version, or the sales and money it earned. To add a video, press Upload a video or Record at the top, or + Create content in the menu. Work with more than one brand? Press Switch brand under the title.

Tap a card to watch it big. The video opens with its details: the product, its status, when you sent it (and when it was approved), the brand's note, the sales and money it earned, and the same buttons as the card (Upload new version, Re-record, attach the original file, comments in Messages). If it has several versions, tap v1, v2… to switch. Swipe down or tap ✕ to close; on a computer, use the ← and → keys to go to the previous or next video, and Esc to close. The address of an open video can be shared or bookmarked.

Prefer a table? Press List at the top (next to Board) to see every video in one list with its status, version, date sent, sales and earnings. We remember your choice. To find a video, type in the search box: it matches the caption, product, brand and status words like "approved" or "changes", and the column counts update as you type. Press Clear search to see everything again.

Link to this answer
What do the video statuses mean?

They're the columns on My videos:

  • In review: you sent it and the brand hasn't reviewed it yet.
  • Changes requested: the brand left a note on what to change. Press Upload new version on the card (or Re-record).
  • Approved: the brand likes it; it's waiting for them to run it as an ad.
  • Running as ad: the brand spent on ads with it in the last 7 days. The card shows its sales and what you earned.
  • Ended: it ran as an ad before but has had no ad spend for 7 days or more. The card shows what it earned in total.

What do 'Ads running', 'Ads paused' and 'Ready for ads' mean?

They sit next to the status on My videos:

  • Ads running: the brand spent on ads with your video in the last 3 days.
  • Ads paused: it ran before, but has had no spend for 3 days or more.
  • Ready for ads: it's approved and on Meta, but no ad has spent on it yet.

Videos that have run as ads show their sales, ad spend, GMV and what you earned.

Earnings & payments

How is my commission worked out?

It follows your plan, shown at the top of Earnings under Your plan (or its name, like "VIP plan", if the brand gave you your own). A plan can pay an amount per sale, a % of GMV (the value of the sales), a % of the ad spend on your videos, or a mix.

Earnings says which sales count for this brand: either the purchases Meta reports for ads using your videos, or real store orders from people who clicked those ads. With store orders, cancelled orders don't count, refunds come off, and some brands only pay on first-time customers. Figures update once a day (store orders within a minute).

Link to this answer
What are tiers, and how do I unlock a higher rate?

Some plans pay more in a big month, for example S$5 a sale, or S$7 a sale once you reach 100 sales in a month. Once you reach a tier, every sale that month pays the higher rate, not just the ones after it. It starts again next month (calendar months, Singapore time). Earnings shows how far you have to go, with a progress bar.

How do I see my sales for a different period?
  1. On Earnings (the Overview or Orders tab), press the date button at the top right.
  2. Pick a preset like Last 7 days or Last month, or choose a start and end day, then press Update.

The tiles show the change against the period just before (green ▲ up, red ▼ down). The charts show what you earned and your sales value per day (the last 30 days unless you pick other dates), and sales by video; hover or tap a bar for the numbers. Owed to you (all time) is what the brand still has to pay you.

Link to this answer
Can I see the orders my videos brought in?

Yes: open Earnings and press the Orders tab at the top. Every store order from someone who clicked an ad with your video is listed for the dates you picked: when it was placed, what they bought, the country, the amount after discounts and refunds, whether they're a new or returning customer, and what you earned. Refunded or cancelled orders are struck through. You never see the customer's details. If the brand pays on Meta-reported sales, single orders show "—" for earnings, because your commission comes from Meta's numbers instead.

Link to this answer
What is a refund adjustment?

If a customer is refunded after the brand already paid you for that month, the paid month stays as it was. The commission on that order comes off the month the refund happened instead, shown under Earnings → Overview → By month as "incl. refund adjustment −S$…". A late order for a paid month is added the same way ("late-order adjustment").

How and when do I get paid?

Monthly, by PayNow, bank transfer or PayPal. To set it up:

  1. Open Profile → How should we pay you?
  2. Pick one and fill it in:
    • PayNow: your mobile number, NRIC/FIN, business UEN or PayNow VPA
    • Bank transfer: choose your bank, then the account number and the account holder's name exactly as the bank has it
    • PayPal: your PayPal email (PayPal may charge you a fee; PayNow and bank are free)
  3. Add your full legal name, answer "Are you GST-registered?" and tick the payout statements box.
  4. Press Save.

When the brand pays you we email you, and it shows on Earnings → Statements & receipts under Payouts received, with its reference.

Link to this answer
Do I need to send the brand an invoice?

No. You agree once that the brand issues a payout statement (a self-billed invoice) for you, so you never write invoices. If you joined before this, tick the box under How should we pay you? in Profile and press Save. Profile then shows the date you agreed. Until you agree, the brand can't pay you.

Link to this answer
Where are my payout statements and receipts?

Open Earnings and press the Statements & receipts tab at the top:

  • Statement (like CP-2026-0001): one for each month you're paid, with your commission by video, any referral bonuses and adjustments, and the total. A month not paid yet shows a Preview.
  • Receipt (like RCPT-2026-0007): proof the brand paid you, with the date, amount, where it went (masked) and the payment reference. A receipt marked void means that transfer failed and the money is owed to you again.

Press Download PDF to keep a copy, or View to see it on screen. The "Payment sent" email links straight to that month's statement. You don't need to make invoices.

Link to this answer
Should I say I'm GST-registered?

Only if you're registered for GST with IRAS. Most individual creators aren't (you must register once your taxable turnover goes over S$1 million a year). If you are, choose Yes in Profile and add your GST registration number; it's printed on your statements. If not, leave it on No.

Link to this answer
Is my bank or PayNow number safe?

Yes. It's stored encrypted, and pages only show the last 4 digits (like •••• 4567). Only you and the brand's admins and finance team can see your payout details, and the full number is only used to pay you. To change it, type the new one in Profile; leave the box blank to keep the saved one.

  • Sample scripts: press Copy script, or Film this script to open it in Record

  1. Tap a brand to open your chat with its team. The top of the chat shows which brand you're talking to.
  2. On a computer the list stays on the left, so you can jump between brands. On a phone, tap the back arrow to get back to the list.
  3. To start a chat with a brand you've joined, tap it in the list (it says "No messages yet") and write your first message.

The number next to Messages in the menu adds up the unread messages from all your brands.

How do I get a pop-up and a sound when the brand messages me?
  1. Open Messages and press Turn on message alerts (or Profile → Message alerts → Pop-up alerts).
  2. Press Allow when your browser asks.

On iPhone or iPad, first tap Share → Add to Home Screen, open Creator Dividend from your Home Screen, then turn alerts on there (iOS 16.4 or later).

You'll hear a chime and see a note while the site is open, and get a pop-up even when it's closed. Turn the chime off with the Sound switch. Pressed Block by mistake? Allow notifications for this site in your browser settings, then reload.

How do I choose which emails I get?

Press Notifications (the bell above Sign out). Flip the switch next to each email, like video reviews, comments, messages, "Your ad is live", the daily sales summary (only on days you made a sale), the weekly recap, payments, referrals, brief updates, challenges, samples and applications. Each switch saves straight away, and your choices are kept per brand. Every email also has a one-click Turn off link. Sign-in links and password resets always arrive.

How does the leaderboard work, and can I hide from it?

Open Brand → Leaderboard. At the top is any challenge the brand is running (the target, the prize, days left) with your own progress bar. Below is the ranking for This month, Last month or All time. ▲ and ▼ show how you've moved, and your row is highlighted.

Others only see your first name and last initial. In Profile, untick Show my handle on the leaderboard, or tick Hide me from the leaderboard to appear as "Anonymous creator".

How do I win a challenge, and where do I see the winners?

Hit the challenge's target before it ends; the brand sees it and sends your prize. Open the brand's name in the menu, then Leaderboard & challenges: it shows the live challenge and your progress, Already hit the target (who has qualified so far), and Past winners at the bottom, with whether your prize is on its way. While a challenge is live, your Home page shows it in one line with a link there. You'll get a "You won" email the day after a challenge you won ends.

How do I invite other creators and earn a referral bonus?
  1. Open the brand's name in the menu, then Referrals. Your link is at the top when the brand runs referrals.
  2. Press Copy and send your link, or press Share on WhatsApp.

People who sign up from it show in Brand → Referrals as Joined. Once they meet the brand's rule (usually their first approved video) it changes to Earned and we email you; when the brand pays you it shows as Paid. Only new creators count.

What's in my Profile, and how do I change my mobile number?

Profile (bottom of the menu) holds your name, mobile number, Instagram and TikTok handles, how you get paid, your partnership ad code, your samples address, leaderboard privacy and message alerts. Change anything and press Save.

Your mobile number lets the brand reach you on WhatsApp about your videos and payouts; only the brand team you work with sees it. Pick your country code and type the number. Not listed? Choose Other and type the full number starting with +.

How do I add or change my profile photo?

Open Profile (bottom of the menu). Under Profile photo, tap Upload photo and pick a picture from your phone or computer (JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 8 MB). Drag it to move it, use the slider to zoom, then tap Save photo. Signed in with Google? Tap Use my Google photo instead.

Your photo is shown to the brands you work with (on their creator lists, applications and chats) and next to your name in the menu. If you've hidden yourself on the leaderboard, other creators see an anonymous circle, not your photo. Tap Remove photo to go back to your initials.

I work with more than one brand. How do I switch?

Open Brands in the menu: the Your brands tab lists every brand you work with, with the one you're in marked You're here. Tap another to switch. On Home, tap a brand's tile under My brands. Switch brand under the brand's name in the menu, and under the welcome on Home, goes to Brands too. The brand's name in the menu always shows which brand you're in. Your videos, earnings, brief, messages and email choices are kept separately for each brand.

How do I switch to dark mode?
  1. At the bottom of the menu, under Notifications, press Dark. (It's also in Profile → Appearance.)
  2. The whole app switches straight away.

Light switches back, and System follows your phone or computer's own light/dark setting. Your choice is saved to your account, so it's the same next time you sign in, on any device. The home page and sign-in page always stay light.
